Black series acrylic - circa 2012
During the past five years, Fabienne Quinsac had been painting a lot with red, which impregnated most of her works and was intimately tied with black. But then white returned, a herald of what would be the French artist's last paintings, mostly white with a touch of black. Compared with the Planets and Hellfires series, the shapes here are even more suggestive.
